The end of the summer has never felt so good! We cannot not be more thankful for Val d’Aran by UTMB® tracks being so well-received by you runners.

We are happy to have shared these atypical months with some of you doing what we do best, enjoy running in the mountains.
Thank you for joining, for sharing moments, for cheering us up… and for your support!

Starting the autumn season we have some interesting news for you. As we have been announcing these past months, from October 28 at 12:00pm CET we will again open the registration period for Val d’Aran by UTMB® races, which will be held between 9 and 11 July 2021.

For those of you who already have a race bib for 2021 and wish to make a change of race distance, you will be able to do so at no additional cost from 28 September to 18 October at your “runner’s space“, as long as you meet the requirements of the race of your choice.

Watch out for the system of points to access Val d’Aran by UTMB® races as it has undergone variations. Currently the points required for new registrations and distance changes are:

  • VDA: minimum 8 points in 2 races maximum
  • CDHminimum 6 points in 2 races maximum
  • PDA: minimum 4 points in 2 races maximum

Variations in the new set of rules will not affect those who registered on first call for any of the 3 distances of Val d’Aran by UTMB®.

The difficulty of obtaining ITRA points in 2020 has raised new prospects. As an exception this year, you can register for any of the previous races, having obtained the minimum amount of points in “qualifying races“finished between 01/01/2018 and 31/12/2020.

You can check the amount of points accumulated in 2018, 2019 and 2020 valid for the 2021 call in the section “Calculating my number of points” on the website. New registrants will be required to prove the number of ITRA points for the race of their choise at the moment of registration.

New registrations will be sold exclusively through the official website, without a draw. The registration period will be extended until 1 June 2021 or until the race bibs have been sold out. All the news about the new set of rules here!
