Dear runner,

Currently, the Val d’Aran by UTMB® organization is working to offer you an event in the most normal context possible. We are creating and implementing Covid protocols for its execution. In agreement with the Val d’Aran health authorities, and working closely with them, we are convinced that we will be able to carry out the races safely for all participants and volunteers. We have the full commitment of government authorities to hold the event.

At this time, no information leads us to think that we will not be able to carry out our races. In July, depending on the incidence of Covid, we will apply the protocol established by the competent authorities. As the date of the event approaches, we will inform you about the protocols and measures studied, between the organization and the local administration, that best adapt to the circumstances.

When the time comes, it is possible that Covid limitations are not only in our territory, but also in your territory of origin. We will study case by case and hope to offer you a satisfactory solution. However, given the variability of the guidelines in reference to the pandemic, we ask for your patience to see how the pandemic evolves and wait to analyze the situation.

Both us and the Val d’Aran health authorities share the same vision: trail running is health and sport is safe. We are convinced that we will be able to carry out Val d’Aran by UTMB® safely as has already been demonstrated in races already performed by other organizations. We also count on the foreseeable increase in the rate of vaccinations that will allow us to reach the month of July in favorable conditions for conducting our event. Our team follows the situation day by day.

Val d’Aran by UTMB® encourages you to keep training and we are convinced that we will be able to see you racing in our mountains in July. We are going to achieve it together!

I say goodbye while remaining at your disposal,

 Xavier Pocino Moga

Director of Val d’Aran by UTMB®
